26-year-old Bernadett Timko repeated her achievement of 2015 to once again claim both The Phyllis Roberts Award and The Winsor & Newton Young Artist Award at this years Royal Institute of Oil Painter Annual Exhibition which opens to the public at the Mall Galleries London this November. The extremely talented Ms Bernadett picks up a cheque of £2,000 for her first place award of the Phyllis Roberts Award and a further £600 of art materials from Winsor & Newton for her remarkable win double.
This year, the panel composed of the Royal Institutes new President Tim Benson and new vice President Adebanji Alade perhaps better known for her regular contributions to the BBC, The One Show, along side council members Tony Merrick and Linda Alexander.
